Investigation Survey on“Flexo Printing in China”Installed Capacity of Printing Technology records truly the growth track of China flexo printing industry, describes objectively evolution process of structure of China flexo printing industry. The result of 2013 Investigation Survey on “Flexo Printing in China” Installed Capacity shows that 152 newest unit type flexograph printing machines have come into use in 17 regions in Chinese mainland from July 1,2012 to June 30,2013. By the time of June 30, 2013, totally 1417 unit type flexograph printing machines have been installed in Chinese mainland, total amount reached 1500 units, and growth rate was 12%. Installed capacity of unit type flexograph printing machine in Chinese mainland has been realized double-digit growth during the continuous seven years since the investigation of 2006 from Printing Technology, as well, it has been implemented “incremental hundred” for five consecutive years. Among total volume of 1417 machines, there are 1057 domestic machines, occupying 74.6%, increment of 130 units, and 360 imported ones, accounting for 25.4%, the increment of 22 units. By comparing occupying of domestic machine and imported machine between 2012 and 2013, we could see clearly that market share of them has been stabilized.

In addition, market share of flexo printing has been increased remarkably. According to incomplete statistics, market share of flexo printing accounted for 3% in China packaging & printing industry from 1998 to 1999. However, the figure has been updated for 8% to 10% from 2008 to 2009, and more than 10% in 2012. In 14 years, market share of flexo printing in China packaging & printing industry has increased by 2.5 times or so, and the growth rate was far beyond other printing way.

The Flexographic Printing Branch of Printing Technology Association of China（CFTA）

The Flexographic Printing Committee of Printing Technology Association of China was set up in June, 1992, and it renamed The Flexographic Printing Branch of Printing Technology Association of China（CFTA）in 2006. During 20 years, CFTA has been devoted into making the development and enhancement of China flexography and made various effects. Since the setup in 1992, the Committee has organized international flexographic seminars and exchanges for the whole country once or twice every year. From the year of 1996, the Committee has sponsored an international flexography & gravure equipment exhibition every one or two years. So far, CFTA has held successfully these kinds of exchanges or exhibitions for over ten times, providing a communicative platform of new technology for all parts in the industry. China Flexographic Quality Appraisal Activity, sponsored by CFTA, has been held once two years since 1998, and it has been held for eight years so far. Eligible flexo product has gradually upgraded to the current high-precise halftone screen presswork from the original color block of vest bag, product quality was higher and higher. Some award-winning products have been sent to FTA of United States to attend world flexographic quality appraisal, some products won the bronze medal, the gold medal and the silver medal in 2005, 2007 and 2009 respectively.
